Speaking of, the Mid-South was really good to me this year, as I received commendations from my hometown of Memphis and my home state of Mississippi, the latter of which I got to accept in the town I grew up in, Holly Springs, Mississippi!Īnd I want to say that the work we did at the Associated Press on the Race & Ethnicity team was great this year. (I even got my first ad in a Marvel graphic novel!) I also made my voice acting debut with a tiny part in the "Who Is The Black Panther?" GraphicAudio production, another first! I signed tons of books this year, both the hardcover and the paperback versions, but I will say that what I enjoyed the most was talking to the children around the country, including a great visit to St. Of course, a lot of it was due to the incredible success of Black Panther, which gave my book, "Who Is The Black Panther?" a great launching point. And in review, 2018 was an incredible year for me, both personally and professionally. As a new year comes in, it's only natural to think about the year that just passed.
